I'm watching you...

It took much patience and a long time of standing perfectly still to get this photo of a female hummingbird visiting our feeder. The look in her eye seems to convey a wariness mixed with animosity.

This does not compute!

Our cats Festus and Munchie don't take kindly to the laptop moving in on their territory. Scott got this pic of them asserting their seniority.

Resident Groundhog

We have a groundhog living under our shed and every now and then we manage to get a picture of him. My husband Scott got the first one up above. He assumed this pose, standing perfectly still, apparently hoping he looked liked a tree stump.


I loved the movie "Groundhog Day", it had a great message. This look reminds me of the scene in the truck when Bill Murray's line to the groundhog is "Don't drive angry!"



He loves all the clover in our not so manicured lawn.

Summer beauty

Our Butterfly Bush grew well this year attracting many beautiful varieties of moths and butterflies like the Monarch shown here.

My very first video that I made of this adorable anniversary gift from Scott, my incredibly thoughtful husband. He also got me a beautiful silk flower arrangement with a twin fresh flower one. Who knew 12 years was "silk"? Enjoy and don't forget the sound.
